In a $1.5 million infrastructure upgrade and Pyschiatric Ward remodel, CBI was tasked with modifying and upgrading the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and life-safety systems of the Jewish Home of San Francisco. We also changed the occupancy of the locked Psychiatric Ward units from one to three residents and implemented a new interior finishes package throughout the wing. This six-month multi-phase project required us to work in and around a vulnerable population. By working closely with the facility and stakeholders we developed a comprehensive schedule and phasing plan which allowed the facility to remain open and fully functional through the renovation effort, resulting in a seamless transition from old to new with a minimum of impact to the patients, residents, staff and visitors.
